Autologic Now in the Safe Hands of Opus Group
We are pleased to announce that, on Friday 16th June, Autologic Diagnostics (Autologic), based in Oxford, UK, was acquired by Opus Group, a leading vehicle inspection and vehicle services provider in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. In 2015, Opus Group acquired U.S.-based Drew Technologies (Drew Tech), the leader in J2534 diagnostic and reprogramming devices, thereby expanding its portfolio to include vehicle communications and diagnostics.
With both Autologic and Drew Tech now under the umbrella of Opus Group, there are extraordinary possibilities for offering complementary products and services at a global scale. Drew Tech has expertise and U.S. dominating success in developing equipment and providing services specifically designed for automotive pass-thru reprogramming. In harmonious complement, Autologic’s Fault 2 Fix team of nearly 100 Master Technicians providing expertise in repairing European vehicles, and its Blue Box and AssistPlus devices, premier aftermarket tools for diagnostics on European vehicles, have set it apart in the automotive diagnostic and repair marketplace.
Autologic will continue to provide world-class vehicle diagnostic support to its current customers while growing its business and enhancing its diagnostic platforms. Simultaneously, Autologic will continue to focus on creating innovative technology for the future of vehicle diagnostics.
Kevin Finn, the newly appointed Chief of Autologic, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating: “Coding and programming European vehicles has always been Autologic’s specialty and niche in the diagnostic space. Opus Group’s investment, along with Drew Tech’s exceptional collection of pass-thru devices and services, will enable Autologic to step forward by offering automotive technicians pioneering methods for repairing European vehicles, which is what put the Company on the map in automotive diagnostics since its founding.”
Opus Group intends to operate Autologic as a stand-alone entity, while Autologic continues to offer its award-winning AssistPlus device in combination with Blue Box support and its Fault 2 Fix team of nearly 100 Master Technicians providing expertise on repairing European vehicles via online, mobile or telephone.
